Lillie Strickland
Mrs. Lillie Strickland was a business owner and property owner on the corner of 33rd and Parker Streets for over 50 years, impacting numerous lives within the community during her time there. Mrs. Lillie, as she is best known, was a pillar of the neighborhood. She helped strengthen the local community by providing jobs and mentorship to both youth and adults alike, as well as by volunteering and contributing to various charitable organizations in the area. This commemorative designation would honor Mrs. Lillie in front of her former business on North 33rd Street from Parker Street to Decatur Street.
