Dorothy Johnson

Is a proud native of North Omaha, Nebraska. Throughout her educational journey, Ms. Johnson matriculated to Omaha North Magnet High School graduating from Omaha North in 2009. Ms. Johnson was very active with athletics and leadership councils. After graduation, Dorothy went on to play volleyball at Grambling State University, a Historically Black College in rural Louisiana. After graduating with honors and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, Johnson returned to Omaha to begin a dynamic career in human service and community outreach.

Ms. Johnson has passionately served in a robust variety of organizations within the Greater Omaha area, including; The Urban League of Nebraska, Inc., The Basic Hope Foundation, Omaha Public Schools, Millard Public Schools, The Archdioceses of Omaha, Metropolitan Community College, the Greater Omaha Chamber, among others. Strong relationships and community connections are the keys to her success! Mrs. Johnson has worked in the Human Services field for over ten years. She has impacted positive change in the child welfare system, foster care, secondary education, post-secondary education, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. 

Dorothy is also in the process of completing her Master’s degree. She will graduate from Bellevue University in Spring 2022 with her Master’s degree in Human Services Administration.
